MANTRICS Digital Video IBC 2011 Preview
At IBC 2011 (9-13 September), Mantrics Digital Video (Stand 7.A09) will be showcasing new and enhanced features on its flagship product, MANTRICS Workflow Manager. Moreover, Mantrics Digital Video will launch two new products: MANTRICS Catalog System, the lighter version of the leading product, and MANTRICS Visual QC, a new defect tracking system.
MANTRICS Workflow Manager has been developed to allow broadcast players to control effectively media assets, projects and resources, both technical and human. The new features contribute to make the solution even more user-friendly and include: dashboard, user scope definition, adaptive streaming, new workflow elements, the possibility to ingest from multiple input.
At a glance process status control:
Filtering media assets according to a list of criteria, the customer can check inside the dashboard how many processes are running on the same asset and if they are ongoing, finished or waiting for some reason. Different filters may be applied to have different views.
Selective access to the contents:
A user, according to his role, may have a look only to a restrict collection of contents that are in MANTRICS, decided in the Admin menu. Thanks to this powerful feature, also customers may have access to defined contents while the process is ongoing.
Adaptive streaming:
MANTRICS can now play both internal and adaptive streaming, streamlining the flow of work. Users can now start to watch the content without waiting that it has been completely downloaded.
Workflow Bricks :
New workflow elements have been added, like the “Go To” brick, that allows to pass from a workflow to a certain point of another one, and the “Parallel Gateway” brick, that groups process stages.
Matrox:
Matrox MXo has been now fully integrated, providing to Mantrics users the possibility to use a high-quality capture card and a breakout box with a complete complement of professional audio and video inputs and outputs.
MANTRICS Catalog System
MANTRICS Catalog System has been designed for small and medium players in the Broadcast, Telco and Post-production operations and offers an entry-level system, with all the benefits and performance of the MANTRICS Workflow Manager.
Providing five workflows, MANTRICS Catalog System doesn’t make any compromise and maintains quality and usability to manage resources and media assets.
Defect tracking system
MANTRICS Visual QC allows the operator to track both subjective and objective defects, enhancing the organization performances . Available as either a stand-alone application, producing an XML format defect-log for third-party tape library systems, or integrated into a MANTRICS Workflow Manager system (where the Assessment report becomes part of the assets metadata), MANTRICS Visual QC can greatly improve the workflow of tape digitisation by effectively screening all formats of videotape prior to an often expensive automated ingest process.
